The Personal/Physical Training aspect of Toddasana Coaching focuses on helping you achieve alignment; to straighten your posture by strengthening your core and back muscles. This is done through hands-on, private guided yoga instruction and asanas (poses), focusing on physical alignment (posture), balance, strength and breathing.  Practicing the syncopation of breath and movement is critical to your physical being.  Slow transitions and holding poses insures maximum benefit. Whether exercising, resting or just "being", breath awareness is the critical element to guide and support your development. Each person is different so we determine which of these we need to focus on first.

In Yoga - Tadasana is known as Mountain Pose. It is a pose that appears simple in nature. You are just standing up straight with your hands at your sides or palms together over your head. Simple, right? Yes, but like many things in life it is not easy. This alignment based pose requires tremendous balance, focus and strength. This fundamental pose is far from easy as it invites you to use almost every large (and many small) muscle groups in your body. Tadasana engages muscles in the body from the bottoms of your feet all the way through your legs, core, neck and face. ALL these muscles work together and are actively engaged and released in this pose.

When your body learns alignment you are physically solid, you do not waver, giving you the foundation to move through life more confidently with clarified intention.  With the guidance of a trusted advisor, we facilitate and help you develop ease for all of life's simplicities and complexities.

Activating and releasing muscles forces blood out of the area and then allows fresh oxygenated blood to rush back in. This not only cleans, it reinvigorates, strengthens and re-builds your muscles and joints.
